Episode #12: A Different Way to Approach the System

By now, the system is clear.

Particles are produced.
Particles are cleared.

And the liver sits at the center of that balance.


If control exists at that level…

then the way the system is approached begins to change.


For a long time, the focus has been downstream.

Measuring what is already in circulation.
And finding ways to remove it.


That approach has value.

But it is not the only way to influence the system.


Because the system is not only defined by what is present.

It is defined by what is being continuously produced.


That shifts the perspective.


Instead of asking:

How do we remove more particles?


A different question emerges:

What is driving the liver to produce them in the first place?


This is where the system becomes more nuanced.


Production is not a single pathway.

It reflects a set of inputs.

Signals that the liver is constantly interpreting.


Energy availability.
Substrate delivery.
Hormonal cues.


These signals determine how much is packaged and released into circulation.


In that sense, particle production is not random.

It is responsive.


And if it is responsive…

then it can be influenced.


Not by forcing the system.

But by changing the signals that drive it.


This is a different way of thinking about intervention.


Not just removing what has already entered circulation.

But shaping what enters it in the first place.


Not acting only at the end of the process.

But earlier, where the system is being regulated.


This does not replace existing approaches.

It complements them.


Because the system is not controlled at a single point.

It is shaped across multiple layers.


And when those layers are aligned, the system begins to move differently.


Particle production changes.

Clearance becomes more effective relative to what is entering.

And over time, exposure can be reduced more consistently.


This is not a new biology.

It is a shift in where attention is placed.


From what is measured…

to what is driving the measurement.


And once that shift occurs, the range of possible approaches expands.
