About LIV

LIV Formula No. 1 was developed as a response to a recurring problem in clinical practice.

Patients present with patterns that do not fully align with traditional models. Lipid levels that appear acceptable alongside clear metabolic dysfunction. Cognitive complaints without a clear structural cause. Systems that appear “normal” when measured in isolation, yet do not function optimally as a whole.

Over time, a consistent observation emerges.

The issue is often not a single marker.
It is how the system is functioning.

Origin of the Formulation

LIV was designed with a systems-based approach, centered on metabolic processes that are closely linked but often evaluated separately.

The liver plays a central role in this system.

It regulates lipid transport, energy distribution, and aspects of metabolic signaling that extend beyond traditional cardiometabolic markers. When these processes are functioning efficiently, downstream effects are reflected not only in lipid profiles, but in energy, clarity, and overall performance.

LIV Formula No. 1 was built to support these processes through complementary biochemical pathways, rather than targeting a single endpoint.

A Different Approach

Most formulations are designed around symptoms or isolated markers.

LIV takes a different approach.

It is designed around:

  • Lipid handling and transport
  • Metabolic flux and energy regulation
  • Interconnected pathways influencing cognitive function

This is not a shift away from established science.

It is a shift toward integrating it.

Clinical Perspective

The development of LIV reflects a broader view of metabolic health.

Rather than focusing solely on reducing a single number, the goal is to support how the system operates over time.

This includes:

  • How lipids are processed and transported
  • How metabolic pathways interact
  • How these processes translate into functional outcomes

Emerging data from both real-world use and cohort-level evaluations suggest a consistent pattern aligned with this approach, particularly in triglyceride-related lipid metabolism and cognitive performance.

These findings are observational and should be interpreted within that context.

About the Developer

LIV Formula No. 1 was developed by C. Ryan Yates, PharmD., Ph.D.

His work focuses on understanding metabolic systems through a clinical and mechanistic lens, with particular attention to how lipid transport, hepatic function, and systemic metabolism interact over time.

This perspective extends into broader work exploring the role of lipoprotein particles in cardiovascular disease, and the limitations of traditional cholesterol-based models.

Closing

LIV was not developed to address a single symptom.

It was developed to support a system.

And as with any system, the outcome is determined not by one variable, but by how the parts work together over time.
